Umm....  huh?  That is certainly poorly worded.

The only times I should read stuff like this is when I feel my blood pressure dropping rapidly and I'm about to faint because this would probably send it back to normal level and a bit above it too...

"Present but absent" is read as a complete phrase and refers to physical presence with emotional absence, which many men still unfortunately consider to be proper manliness.

And maybe there is an "only" missing before the 'dating your daughters'

I see it finally gets to the Granddaddy of the Christian boot camp system, Mel Sembler, (AKA Ambassador Melvin Sembler, friend of the Bush family for decades) and the good old Rolloff homes is Corpus Christi.

This is what happens when 'deregulation' meets lack of regulation.

The bit about court orders was particularly disturbing. Not only does the government fund this, but it can also force kids into it. Wow.
