President Bush has quietly claimed sweeping new powers to open Americans' mail without a judge's warrant, the Daily News has learned.
The President asserted his new authority when he signed a postal reform bill into law on Dec. 20. Bush then issued a "signing statement" that declared his right to open people's mail under emergency conditions.

tDP also has a (small) forum that's probably not of great interest (interesting folk there, though... they make our Pirates look like kindergarten teachers!)...  the reason I mention it is that Jennie often pops in and posts.  The concept of a minor internet celebrity actually interacting with their devotees is totally foreign to me.

After the cartoonist's wife and newborn got through their medical complications.  It's getting good again, too!
