Mine evolved from several threads at the old Pirate Forum. Ushnor put the hat and hook on for me.

The Bunny comes from the Play-Bilge Magazine thread - a pirate sendup of Playboy.

The microphone and logo were part of a sendup we did on music and bands, called the 'The Arghh-stock Music Festival', The Black Spot and I were part of a Pirate Boyband called 'Take the Lot'

Mine is also an owl. A Drunk Temple Owl!


(You had to be drunk at that game. Temple and UB are the two worst football teams in the country...I am an alumn of BOTH.) That game 8/31 marked the last time Buffalo won a game (probably for the whole season) and the first time Temple lost a game this season....it being the first game of the season.

The week after, UB when on to get clobbered by someone and Temple lost to another college 62-0.

I grew up in Syracuse, NY.

SU, UB and Temple are ALL on the "Rocky V" list of worst football teams in the country....

You'd fit right in here...the closest thing there is to a bar in this town is the 'lounge' at the American Legion Hall, right next to the football stadium. The "Ladies Auxiliary" meets at the lounge during the second half of the football game, right after they watch their kids march in the band at halftime. (One of them says she does her nails during the first half, but most of 'em read or 'visit' with the neightbors.)

I started with this old bronze head (actually another photograph of it, not this) over at the old place and i don't see, why I should change.
I may replace it from time to time with a different perspective of the same.
For those who don't know yet or have forgotten it:
It is the (damaged) head of an Akkadian king, probably Naram-Sin.
It is often mistaken for that of Sargon I (and occasionally even for the Sumerian king Gilgamesh).

That one just...cracks me up every time, and i've seen it 20 times now.

Pill-ze is a very good character. I'm quite partical to stigmata to the eye, althou kervorkian scarf is pretty amazing.

avatar... um, I didn't really mean to put it up, but, its there... its apparently 'U2' and its got the glasses, so I guess its supposed to be Bono, but I keep thinking its Kim Jong-Il... its the blast goggles, methinks.

My current avitar is the head of a terripin, who currently lives at the Tulsa zoo.  He's about 8-10 inches across the shell, and lives in a large bird display room, about 30 feet across.  The Southwestern Desert display.

In case you're wondering, he's also a turle.  (A terripin is always a turtle. A turtle may or may not be a terripin.)
