Cloudy, cool and with occasional rain...

Perhaps in two months we may have a cool day or two, but not in September.

Suddenly, this week, darkness falls -- abruptly and definitively -- at 7 pm.

Suddenly, this week, boss put the AC on -- nice and strong -- in my area.

A little more summer heat, with temperatures into the 30's

We've been having a heat wave, here, with heat indices near 100F. Afternoon thunderstorms are expected to push the system out of the area today, so hopefully we'll get some relief and more autumnal temps by tomorrow.

No rain today actually although it looked most of the time as if it could start any minute

At last we are having a thundershower. It smells great out there!

Cooler temps here, as compared to previously.   About 80-ish (F), but high humidity. 

So, after I got home, I went out back and re-mowed my yard one last time? (hopefully) to kind of grind up the dry clippings from earlier in the week.  The front still looks fine, I left it.

I was kinda bummed, though-- it was dark by 8pm.  Summer's officially over, I guess.   meh.

Sadly, even with the high humidity, rain is not forecast, making September a record dry streak.  Cooler morning temps could create dew, though-- helping some, but not the trees.

Due to GCC, I guess our formerly dry August now comes in September/October.   Bad for Halloween-- outdoor burn-bans will limit what sort of decorations are permissible.

I hope it rains soon....

Cold, dark and wet. Summer gone. Nice while it lasted. Heading into months of depression.

Nicely sunny for parts of the day. Temperature within the tolerable range.

I'm now closing the portholes at night and opening them back up in the daytime.

As much as I hate to see the warm, long days shorten and cool down, I look forward to cozy firesides and snowy days with no mosquitoes or yard work!
