First day in a while without rain (yet)

For the first time in months, we've had a completely dry day with more or less unbroken sunshine.  Cap'n B has been pedalling his tractor round and round the new patio and running about.

My weather, and yes it does belong to me , has been weird. A slight drop in temperature at night (after dark), with warm days, but lots of rain and sun patches. I'm not sure the weather knows what it wants to be right now. One second it's hot, hot, hot, the next it's overcast and spitting rain.

The temps here have settled back into the 80F's. This is much more civilized for August in these parts.

Our last dry spell didn't last long, but we're in another brief one now.  People are actually getting their barley and wheat in, though I expect the drying will cost a fortune.  Never mind, nice to see a grain trailer.

Beautiful hot and sunny weather for days now. It's been fantastic, although it has meant watering more frequently. Made the pub crawl in Sawbridgeworth last night an absolute pleasure.

The great roast has begun. T may reach 36-37°C to-morrow. Thunderstorms likely in the coming week.

According to the local papers it was 35°C yesterday but they toned down the prediction for today to 32°C.
Anything above 25°C I am not pleased with (unless it is a hot bath,  a sauna or my tea).
