Naaah:  if you're a dog, what you really would like to do all day is smell the sh!t from other dogs-- dogs sniffing other dog's butts.

 

To a dog, that nasty mary-juh-wanna smells nothing like some good dog-butt....

I wonder if a K9 unit would be able to accurately identify drugs hidden up a dog's butt, or if they'd just think their 4-legged officer was being incorrigible?  _{just speculating not advocating!}

They'd be less inclined to smell human feces, I think, though I doubt they'd be put off or fooled by it. Then again, there's a probably a good reason you rarely see Golden Retrievers as police dogs, despite their excellence in obedience.  They'll eat any sh!t except canine, and sometimes they'll eat that too (our Golden only ate frozen ones, never thawed, but would have gladly taken over litter box duty if offered the chance).
