We were inspired by new member Stella to attempt an area here where we can keep logs about our natural surroundings (wherever we may be) and some of the traditions that keep us going around the seasons.

There are several ways we can approach this area. In one way, we can have threads marked with the names of the seasons, and as each season occurs in your immediate surroundings, you may make observations in the appropriate heading. This might be cool, since we have Toadfish in both the Southern and Northern Hemispheres, and so might have two different seasons being written about at the same time.

Another way we might use this space is to also open personal threads here and use them almost like mini-blogs, where each individual can keep a journal of observances in her/his area, and others may comment on those observances.

We could also talk about specific natural features, such as oceans, forests, mountains and deserts. Or about animal groups, such as birds or ...marsupials? Who knows.

This is meant as an area to get us back in contact with nature both near and far from our computers.
