I think it's amazing the things human science has learned with regards to chemical balance (and imbalance) in our organic CPU's...

... the way that people can be assisted with a wee bit o'chemical help is quite astounding, to me.

Just to keep the debate going.......... it can be really difficult to find the right chemical, there are loads of anti-d's and many don't work on particular people............ so months of trying one after another......... and some people are "treatment resistant"......... that's why I think it is wonderful Ababe has one that works for her.

And  I also found a fantastic counselor as well-- this clinic has been in the brain business (actually the whole person attached to the brain) for many years and they have people who fortunately work for me. She and I get along well and we do differ on some levels greatly (she is a die hard Christian and me not so much ya know) but she does not shove and cram she just uses all of her learning and experience and me trusting her and letting it all out has helped probably as much as the medication. But boy it is certainly nice to have one that works well--- years of misdiagnosis and what ever left me wondering if I was eventually going to be walking down the highway nude one day speaking to the asphalt.

HEY!

I just found out that one of my best friends from High School (we still keep in touch) just got into the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus!

I am so proud of him. He was always talented. We were in the drama club together. He took me to the prom, even (we wore overalls- it was the 70's). For a while he was real sick, and being HIV positive we were worried about him, but he pulled through and never got full-blown AIDS. He's one of the lucky ones, so far anyhow, as he's had it for about twenty years. A while back he moved to Frisco, and it looks like he finally made it in show business. The SFGMC is a very well-known professional act.

You go, boy!  ;D

Congrats to the new member of the choir

Good for him, and good for you for catching up.

Well, we've been friends for at least forty years, now. Talk about BFF! It's good to know friendship for that long is possible.

I hope I know my Sibs for that long! Some of us are all ready going on, what- nearly 8 years, now is it?

Opsa

What year was it, though? Seems like long ago.

Bob in a quantum-state-of-faith

For me, it was either 2005 or 2006-- somewhere around there.

Alas, they finally deleted my old log-on at TOP... I tried to get in the other day (I used to log-in every 6 months or so to keep it alive, but I'd not post) and it didn't know me from Adam.

And they've deleted all the really old posts, it appears.  Which would've included anything I wrote-- my last post was 2007?  Or 2008 Or something like that.

So all the old lore is lost. So much about the net never forgetting anything..

The aspitriglos is edible though I do not actually recommend it.

It's probably twinkling somewhere out there in cyberspace.

2005 seems like quite a while ago. Thanks, old pal!  :-*

Surely you must be mistaken? We were assured  that posts (and topics) were not being deleted...
