My former landlady/neighbor's husband tried that. He found out quickly that in a community property state, that's not going to work...especially if your bank VP wife has had everything (EVERYTHING, cars, house, your office lease) put in her name and you never noticed or cared.

She sent him home to his Daddy in Saudi Arabia, and ended up with everything PLUS his medical practice (he employed 2 other physicians) and a half million dollars from his father to ease her transition to the shame of divorce...
