I've just watched the last of the 13 epsiode Vanished in which they promised everything would be tied up and explained.

Clearly I must have slept through large chunks as nothing has been explained in my head.

Why was Sarah kidnapped?

What was the connection with ancient ciphers and the Dead Sea Scrolls and the kidnapping?

Has the death row prisoner Dr wotsit actullay been reprieved?

Why does Sarah go back to her previous lover, not her husband? Do they ever get their daughter back from the grandparents?

Why did Sarah leave her previous lover? -> Why did "They" force her to then. (So she could marry the senator perhaps?).

I devoted 13 hours of my life to this rubbish and I feel fobbed off and stupid.   ::) ::) ::)

Hadn't even heard of that one, but maybe the answer is here.

It looks like the answer to all your questions is "The series didn't get the viewers and they couldn't be bothered to finish it properly".

Thanks.

I don't feel stupid for not understanding now - my questions were at least valid. I only feel stupid for watching it at all. Along with another 499,999 people in the UK.

Know the problem.  I shall want guarantees that Gabrielle and Andrew have gone back to being totally amoral before bothering to watch another series of Desperate Housewives.  Assuming C4 can still afford it in their reduced circumstances.

LOL. I avoided Desperate Housewives altogether because:

1. The title made me suspicious
2. One of my sons recommended it

Yeah, sometimes I'm not entirely sure it's a completely accurate portrayal of American suburbia.  That's why I watch South Park to fill in the gaps.

A very interesting portrayal of the American suburbia is displayed in "Weeds", IMO.

I've never seen "Weeds"-- gotta try and see some now

but I'll never see this stuff through non-north american eyes- so the experience must be amazing.
how do you say
"you killed Kenny, you bastards"  in your language(es)? Yes I do want to know for a reason.

Pretty much the same. Except you have to do it in the accent of Pip.
