Frankly I was expecting more attempts and quick outrage from Pakistan. I imagine a mixture between heightened security, and respectful mourning period prevented both from happening sooner.

Still the incident showed the duality of the country, on one end the military were furious at the violation of their sovereignty and at the other the hard questioning in parliament asking how was it possible for the guy to be under their noses without anyone knowing.   

I hate saying it but both the military and the intelligence services in Pakistan have proven how unreliable they can be, and having nukes at hand doesn't help at all.

They still fear and hate India more than the US (and use most of the military help to prepare for a military confrontation with India)

That's part of it, but what I see as the problem is that certain elements in the military/intelligence seem to be quite sympathetic to the Taliban/AlQaeda. That's what's worrying me.

India also tried to get a political foothold in Afghanistan and Pakistan is paranoid about being encircled. Chaos and Islamic fanatics is, it seems, considered a powerful antidote against this fear.
