About 3 centuries ago the KuK bureaucracy (the Pragma => pragmatism) decided that heads of office would name their vice personally and that that vice would be the automatic successor.
Of course realizing that naming a competent vice could undermine their own position (and who likes an underling smarter than oneself anyway?) that lead to the practice of usually naming the least dangerous (i.e. most stupid) person as vice.
Now think what the results are after 300 years and why the Austrian bureaucracy has such a bad but well-earned reputation... ;)

The aspitriglos is edible though I do not actually recommend it.

I name my vice personally and the vice always automatically succeeds. It is logging onto this site and spending more time here than I meant to. ;)

If I named my vice personally, he'd still only answer to Dan...well, that and Hey You!!

I've had to give up most of my other vices.

In German it is Laster (means both vice [immorality] and lorry) :D

Assuming "The Tour Bus" is too anglicized how about Der Freudenwagen ?  Das Freudenauto sounds a little too unary.

The actual German would be even more saucy. Tour would oldfashionedly be translated as Lustreise
