Anyone see the special on PBS, "Judgment Day, Intelligent Design on Trial"?

No, but I will try to get someone to record it for me. (No TV reception here in the boondocks. No cable or dish at home, either.) :-\

Might have seen this a while ago. What is shown in the U.S. as WGBH/Nova is often the same as what is shown here as BBC/Horizon. The description sounds similar to  "A War on Science".

Hi, all!

I have it recorded on my cable hard drive box.  I'm seriously going to convert it to a standard DVD.

But, it IS copyrighted, and I do so like PBS/Nova.

On the other hand, I won't be making any money off sending a copy to those that really need one.

Hmmm.  A quandary.

PM me, I suppose, and when I get around to dropping it to a DVD, I can easily make additional copies (blank DVD's are cheaper than the postage, nowadays....<grin> )

This is because, while not as in-depth as "Monkey Girl" it does cover much of the same material.

I was aghast at the utter lack of remorse on the part of one of the Dover creationists-- his actions cost his district millions of dollars (which they could better have spent on education...) and accomplished nothing, really.

The status-quo was preserved, in that creationism is still illegal, and ID is just creationism with a pretty bow.

*sigh*

The other major creo-player in Dover (who since moved to another state-- smart man.  Leave the mess he created far behind.) showed a bit of remorse at having done what he did.

Both were guilty of lying their collective backsides off, during the trial.  The judge sternly admonished them both for that-- and recommended perjury inquiry.   Unfortunately, the local DA was a wimp, and declined to investigate....

Nope, not the same show.

Maybe it's similar, though.  I would've liked to have seen the BBC version of things.

I suppose I could buy a copy at Amazon-- I may have to see about doing that.
