38 should be Cyndi Lauper.

After hearing her own version of Jingle Bells many, many times at work, she deserves a place on that list.

I do have one question though. In each post, at the top right it says, "Warm and Fuzzies *insert random number*". What exactly is that? I'm sure there's some link right in front of me explaining this, but I always miss those really apparent things.  ::)

Science / Re: Do you hear what you read?
December 22, 2006, 06:14:14 PM
Well...842 wpm with 100% accuracy. Not too shabby considering my last caffeinated beverage was awhile ago. I too tend to read slower on computers. Back when I had time to read without interruption, I could easily finish off 3-4 midsize novels a day. I also mentally edit out words such as "the, and, a" etc...

The only time my lips move when I read is while I'm studying. Otherwise, it's all processed in my head.

Oh no, I understand you meant no disrespect, Quasimodo. I've never thought of a shortened name for myself, seeing as I'm generally more of a lurker than an interacter. However, earlier in this topic someone referred to me as Si, feel free to use that name.

Spirituality / Re: Are you afraid of dying?
December 22, 2006, 05:48:55 AM
Dying doesn't scare me. However, I would like death to leave me alone for a little while. So far, I've gotten to live the part of life where you bust your butt; I would like to at least live to the part where I reap the benefits of busting my butt if you know what I'm saying.

Welcome!
Can we call you 'Hush!', for short?  :D

Make yourself at home.

Thanks to all. You know, you're the second one today to mention shortening my name to 'Hush'. I've been using this screenname for years and no one has ever thought of that. How quaint.

I blame Kanola the Squidly for directing me to this link...or over time you will all blame Kanola the Squidly for directing me here.

Anywho...hello!
