He was man enough to show up afterwards.  That gets points from me.
Many would have left and never come back out of shame.
He said he would think more about any other revelations he has before posting them.  So he learned something in the process.
That's what we're here for, huh?

I have found that Spirituality comes from practicing the Spiritual Principals: Acceptance, Hope, Faith, Honesty, Open-mindedness, Willingness, Courage, Trust, Humility, Forgiveness, Unconditional Love, Perseverance, Integrity, Spirituality, Service, Loyalty, Respect, Admiration, Compassion, Tenderness, Unity, Sharing, Simplicity, Independence, Selflessness, Survival, Self- Reliance, Responsibility, Participation, Balance, Consistency, Clarity, Vision, Communication, Harmony, Gratitude, Joy, Surrender, Purpose, Freedom, Spontaneity, Abundance, Brotherhood, Humor, Patience, Beauty, Healing, Flexibility, Truth, Delight, Peace, Attraction, Availability, Balance, Character, Commitment, Discipline, Empathy and Serenity.
Balance is in twice because it is necessary both in our lifes and how we practice these principals.  Practicing these will lead to a happier, and perhaps more peaceful life.  At least that is my experience.  The more i practice these the better my relationships with others.  The more I leave them out the more chaos comes into my life. Peace. ;D
Hey, my buddy Otter!  Glad to see you.

Maybe we newbies could have a pseudo-pub.  That way, the old timers could direct us in the Toadfish Pub (and possibly Piratin') ways.

PIRATIN !  Yarr ! Exsillent...fresh meet ! Inspirashun !
F-f-f-fresh m-m-m-meet? I hope that's meant real friendly like. I'm not a (known) pirate, you know.  I'm kinda new to Piratin ways.

Personally, I'd rather invade, declare peace on them and get back on the pontoon boat and continue the lake tour.
War is so much trouble.  And not neat, either.  I like neat.

We could just declare victory and have a parade.  I'll notify the media.
When you notify the media, be sure to tell them we came, we saw, we declared peace,  and then victory.
It will be novel to say the least.
Parade?  Awwright!  May I ride the pony, huh.  Huh, may I puleeeze?

I say we invade Sealand, overthrow their government and declare war on somebody.

Hey, why not? Then we can go on holidays and let them try to find us.

We still have time for the half hour argument as to whether we should have a Toadfish Yacht or a Toadfish Ark.

What with Beagle, Goat, and Pachy, I vote for the Ark. does a yacht have a poop deck?
I think we can just use the pontoon.  It's Wednesday here, and I'm picking my grandson up from school as soon as he finishes finals today.
Ya'll are welcome to come on out here and tour the lake with us.

Foo. I should have read this thread earlier. Now I find that all that deadline catching-up I did this morning was for nothing.

Eh well... looks like I might as well set up the Pseudo-Bar for Water Nymph. Drinks will be on the house.
Weeehooo.  Good Morning and thanks.
I think I'm gonna like this place.

Hey there again, WN! Somehow I just felt you'd check in here sooner or later.

Not a bad idea, though, having a public  pub as well as a private pub and a  pirate pub. As long as it begins with "p", there ought to be a pub involved, somehow.

A number of us are parents, here. Toadfish are natural critters and do not take vows of ...well anything, other than just basic intent to be decent to one another.
Maybe we newbies could have a pseudo-pub.  That way, the old timers could direct us in the Toadfish Pub (and possibly Piratin') ways.

Welcome, Nymph!

If someone offers you fish head stew, run the other way!
You don't have to tell me something like that twice!
I'll be on the watch.

The Pub's in the Tide Pool, which is a slightly more restricted area, for what we call Toadfish Novices (this is a kind of monastery, even if only in name, and the Abbot is female.) People who 'play nice' in Open Water soon get invited deeper inside.  :)

Edit: We do like to wait a little to see if someone is going to stick around, or is just passing through...  Both lots of people are welcome here, but we won't put a label on yer chair for just anyone... :P
Totally understandable.  I tend to stick around interesting folk.  So guess I'll see ya when I see ya at the pub.

Point me to the pub, please!

Hey, were DID they move the pub to?

I can't seem to find it in the open sections.... but, then again, I _AM_ dim when it comes to directions.  Is why I have a GPS thingy...  ::)
Hi, Bob.  We'll end up there one way or the other.  If I find it first, I'll send good directions.  22 years as a Realtor, ya know.

I have all sons---I'm not shocked at too much in the world.

If you have all sons does that mean I don't have to bother with mine anymore?

Welcome!
Pretty much.
Thanks a bunch

:offtopic:
Ohh, but the last installment of Half-Life took almost 3 years! ;)

In that case, I think I'll go shopping.

I don't like to be picky, but is that earth that's going, or merely homo sapiens ? I couldn't be bothered to read it in depth.

He may be muddling things up with the TV show tonight about Life on Earth After Humans Go.

Anyway, I think it's more likely to be the 31st not the 28th. Though it may begin to disintegrate on 28th and take 3 days. Depends on how long it took to create it in the first place.
Half-life of creation is 3 days.  Guess that is about right for the end.
I may have time to get my dress from the cleaners after all.

On Topix, on a thread entitled, "The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster / Faith with a side of Parmesan", there is a poster calling himself "As God intended" that has announced several times  that God has informed him that Wednesday will be the last day of Earth.  So...You have been warned!!!

:smite:

You can see his posts here...

There sure are some 'unique' people in topix land.  Sheesh, I can't get my best dress out of the cleaners on time.  Thanks for the warning so I can go to plan B on my End of Daze dress.
