Reasonably sunny and around 5° / 41°, but a biting E. wind cuts through you.  Still plenty of snow on the higher hilltops.

Swept the lounge chimney this morning, aided by Cap'n B in his oldest clothes - but he still got very black, not surprisingly.   ;)

Vast quantities of soot reminded me that I hadn't swept it for far too long.

Oxford won in a classic race.  Very little pushing and shoving went on after last year's disaster.  Before last year it had been getting nastier and nastier, but this was a fair race and Cambridge rowed gallantly  despite never being in front at any stage.

Came back from Exeter today.  Snow now only on the hilltops, still cold but the wind is not so biting, roads are dry.  A damn sight easier than the journey out.  ;D
