Greetings and salutations from the land downunder.  Although we do not bite (much), I'd keep clear of the squidlings for a while until they've gotten used to you...  ;)

Bluenose...if only there were men like you out there

:) Hi!  I'm dolphindream & I've just joined the group.  My friend stellinacadente recommended this site to me.  I consider myself a pagan, no particular path.  I am reading & learning, using what resonates with me, and storing other info for later.  Ummm, not sure what else to say so I'll stop now :)

Welcome my friend!

We are pursuing a non-traditional western divorce (i.e. no lawyers or screaming matches) at the moment. ;) :P ::)

I had a semi-traditional western one (divorce that is).... no lawyers , but lots and lots of screaming matches... thinking back it was was to hire the lawyer instead :D

Like mine?

First I had to hold a black screen in front of my face when walking in to keep the ghosts from getting jealous ('cos I'm too handsome ::)). Then my mother-in-law traded her daughter for a wooden duck.  I didn't say a word during the ceremony, but got to have a snack and do a shot, and there were live chickens under the altar (not sacrificed, in case you are wondering).  Afterwards, the private family part of the ceremony - we poured some shots for our parents, I piggybacked the bride around the room and my parents threw dates and chestnuts at us to see how many sons and daughters we'd have - 13 total.

Yes, traditional weddings are very beautiful and sedate, aren't they?  ;)

:bwa: what tradition is that??? :)

Using a car (and possessing actual driving skills beyond the mere possession of a driving licence) would roughly halve the time I spend on commute. But definitely not cheaper.

If I were able to choose (and I do not since I live in a place where you either have a car or you basically are stuck in the middle of nowhere!), I would still choose public transportation... ;D

Thanks for your emotional support in this very troubled iPod time for me :)

I guess the good news is that I have found the phone and I will now enjoy playing the angry customer for the poor unlucky call center guy who is going to end up with my call...

(Just kidding!)

Oh Swato... I am sorry about your misfortune with public trasport... but just think it could be much worse...if instead of a train you'd have to drive 1 hr to work in traffic....

that is what I had to do when I was in California (YUCK!)... 1.5 hrs commute in traffic (27 miles) and getting up at around 4.45 am...

Let's all hang in there... maybe one day employers will come to their senses and let us all telecommute! ;D

That's the price you pay when buying Apple products.

My recommendation is, if you want an app capable gadget use something with an Android OS, if you just use it for MP3s use any other brand, Creative is nice.

I agree with you 100% I cannot believe how 95% of the planet got tricked into being dependent on these thieves' products!

I bought the stupid thing for its ability to wifi... I wanted to have something that can turn into a Skype phone when I am away from home, especially outside the country...

and the second reason is because THIS http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/products/mobilephones/overview/xperiax10?cc=gb&lc=en

wasn't out yet... but now it is MWAHAHAHHAHAHHA  :devil2:

i CAN'T WAIT TO PUT MY HANDS ON IT!

Today I was trying tosync my iPod touch when an alert came thu that I could not sync until I had installed the new OS.

So I download the OS and initiate the update.

After a ridiculous long time (30 minute or so) I get "The update could not be completed- Error unknown"

Ar this point iTunes is not recognizing the device anymore and the iPod goes into Recovery mode... but the recovery cannot be completed either for Error unknown again!

My iPod in a coma, I go to the help page of iTunes about this unkonw error and I find suggestions...

a. download new version of iTunes. I don't like to do it because it forces you to download Quicktime too and it's a hopping 90+ MB, but I do it to rescue my iPod...

restart machine, open iTunes and restart restoration ... same error

b. Update iPod OS - no! really???? Genius!

c. Restore iPod to original factory settings...

At the c point I am getting ready to call apple and tell them what I think of their policies and support...

the only thing is: there is no Phone number :hitPC: :headbang:!!!!!

:stick: :2guns: :censored:

eh... too frustrated... I will try again tomorrow...
