Title: Sausage Rolls
Post by: Griffin NoName on August 28, 2014, 02:43:27 AM
I've never worked out if sausage rolls off the supermarket shelf need cooking. They look cooked, the pastry is edible rather than gungy, and the sausage grey instead of pink, but all the packets say "May be eaten hot or cold"..."to cook, heat on Xo for N mins. kind of implying they need cooking even if you then eat them cold by leaving them laying around.

Anyway, I've always just eaten them without cooking, but this little doubt usually surfaces at some point so I thought I'd check it out.

Someone has beaten me to it.

Possibly stupid question about supermarket sausage rolls (http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/possibly-stupid-question-about-supermarket-sausage-rolls)

Oh my, what would CMOT Dibbler think of all that? ;)

We have the same dubious sausage rolls over here (from the sounds of it), thanks to Mother Britain.
