Title: Go the F**k to Sleep.... please.
Post by: Bob in a quantum-state-of-faith on June 20, 2011, 02:41:11 PM
For all you parents out there, or anyone who has experienced a small child who was restless at bedtime, I present Samuel L Jackson reading a most humorous and excellent book:

Go The F**k To Sleep

Warning!  F-bomb may offend the artificially sensitive.

The book is real.

Enjoy!

Hmmm... I'd embed it, but that appears to no longer be functional...

Edited by Bluenose to make the embedded link work.  code is: <youtube=425,350>d5EdjSPfy3E</youtube>  - substitute square brackets for the <> ones

Rachel Maddow had two segments on that (the second was an apology for getting something wrong in the first)

I smiled when rachel covered this.   :D

I think it would be a fine addition to the part of my library that contains copies of The Paper Bag Princess (http://www.amazon.com/Paper-Bag-Princess-Classic-Munsch/dp/0920236162) and Uncle Shelby's ABZ Book (http://www.amazon.com/Paper-Bag-Princess-Classic-Munsch/dp/0920236162).

Well poo-- Bluenose fixed the link, and the video was pulled...

... meh

If you want the audio book of this book, I highly recommend Jackson's rendition... now I wish I'd saved it...

.................. Edit

ho'kay... I has located it on Amazon, which will be released on July 1, 2011.

And the audible is quite reasonable for $5US... since I totally enjoyed it, I'm so gonna get a copy-- both Mr Jackson and the author deserve that much at the very least.

I'll send the Linky if anyone want's it.  PM.

!! Edit-Edit !!

If you go to Amazon's listing for this fine book, you will see the Audible, downloadable copy is free, if you are already and Amazon customer.

I just tried it, and it's now on my Kindle.... you can get Kindle on any PC or Android device (mac, too I think--unconfirmed).

I highly recommend getting this for free-- Jackson's rendition of it is simply superb.
