Title: Garth Marenghi's Darkplace Hospital
Post by: Bob in a quantum-state-of-faith on January 30, 2010, 06:58:57 AM
Anyone see this very silly '70's vintage TV show?

Adult Swim (cable, Cartoon Network latenight) just ran a very silly episode.

'A hospital chef is savagely attacked by a ladle'

Very silly.

;D

I've never heard of it before, but it sounds like fun. This website (http://www.clivebanks.co.uk/Darkplace%20Intro.htm) says it was made in the '80's but not broadcast until fairly recently.

ooh, I hope BBC America runs it.

Oh, that website was hilarious!  The same dark tone, the same false-seriousness.  Too funny.    Reminds me of Batman from the 70's....

Ah, Batman was a great series. Totally ridiculous and sincerely deadpan. Wow, if Darkplace is like that, I'm even more intrigued.
