H enjoying the celebration -- housemate's son came for an overnight visit and she offered H to sleep in front of the [gas] fireplace in the den. I told him he could watch for Santa coming down the chimney. Friend's son indignantly refused to put H out of his room; said he would sleep on couch in front of fireplace. H cheerfully said he would listen in his room for the screams as Santa's feet reached the flames...
