Too similar to the dead horse head tactic to be ignored, it speaks libraries about the people doing it.

On a somewhat related note, today I got in the mail some smear notes courtesy of the republican party. I have the feeling this next two weeks are going to be insufferable.

Some idiots probably just found a shot bear and decided to make a lame statement with it. I can't even figure out what statement they were trying to make. Was it a black bear? Maybe it was a racist statement?

How many hunters would shoot a bear and then simply let it lie around?

1) Obama is responsible for the bear market
2) Sarah Palin is after you
3) You may be strong but you can be killed too
4) Obama means dead lil' ones
5) Obama is unbearable
6) Joeph Beuy is alive and happy and living in NC

Far too many. I don't consider those vile individuals to be "hunters", but there are plenty of drunk shithead gun nuts in North America that'll shoot to kill for "fun" and leave the carcass, especially if it's a predator.

OK, if it was one of the nuts that claim that they need fully automatic assault rifles for hunting, then the skin may not be worth much. There are even guys that want to hunt using machine guns (.50 belt-fed I presume) or hand grenades. :puke:
I'm sure it's the other way around: in order to justify having full automatic weapons they use them while 'hunting' and say "See? I just want it to hunt. Honest!" ::) >:(

It's still unfortunately common to find bear carcasses completely intact except for the paws and gallbladder, removed for sale on the Asian black market.
Aside from the skins, bear meat is also quite tasty (cook well-done, though). The fat is quite tasteless and makes a good lard substitute. I don't have any desire to hunt bear, but have a friend who does. Not sure if he keeps the skins or not to be honest, but he DOES eat all the meat.
I would be careful with bear meat because of trichinosis. I have read that it is very delicious though.

I think there were even RPG hunts proposed in the US (on deer, I think and for a rich clientele of the Chain-Eye kind).
