... or how the advertising industry plays with us...
I've found this interesting German website that shows the difference between the product displayed on the package and the reality:

Here's just a little example:

This could become interesting, if you expanded it to include popular figures in the media.... ::)
What amazes me is that some of the products actually do live up to their 'glamour shot'.
Oh man! We should do some of these ourselves. I think it's hilarious how flat and lifeless McDonalds food is compared to it's advertising. Of course, this would mean spending money on McDonalds food. *CHOKE*

I, *ahem* have to admit that I actually like
two of their products. Well, three, actually.
- they dish out pretty good orange juice, for fast food.
- their breakfast "skillet" burrito is pretty good, but overpriced for what it is
- I confess, I actually like Big Macs. I have to curb myself, or I'd eat too many of the d!mn things. But, again, overpriced for what it is (it's popular, and not sold as a "loss-leader" like some of their other sandwiches are.)
But I've no idea how to proceed, if we really wanted to do this, or if it's even a good idea.
McD's pretty protective of their franchise.
Some of those photos....
...well, they did not exactly increase my appetite :puke:
By the way, if you go to the starting page, you can find a link to a very interesting video analyzing whether germans can clap their hands in pace with the music or not. :D
Big Mac glamour shot :giggle:
I too confess--- something grossly addictive about the Mac-- possilby as when I was a kid they were truly big (so was a whopper from burger king) and was a rare treat.
Reminded me of the film Falling Down.
"Does this look like the picture? No. I want one that looks like the picture." Proceeds to shoot up the place.
"I'm the bad guy?"
