Very interesting. Now to find the time to toy with it

The aspitriglos is edible though I do not actually recommend it.

That is a very interesting little toy! :D

I only wish I could record the tinkering, I'd love to make my own cellphone signals with that!

Thank you Griffin!

The first time I tried it, it wasn't loading for me, now if finally did.

Fantastic idea.

Wonder if you could record it via your microphone if you have one with your pc/laptop.

EDIT

yes, this works, using windows sound recorder, start->programs->accessories->sound recorder

record and then save

ideally it then needs putting through sound enhancer to get it clean and loud enough - download a freebie sound editor which should be adequate if you don't have one

I've been playing with this for 20 minutes now. Please help me!

One of many songs I played with. I really wish I could have many many more columns. It makes me want one of those music maker programmes.

I made aa very crude ringtone for when texts arrive on my cell phone. Despite putting it through a music programme, it was impossible to remove all the "noise", "reverbs" etc. Still it's kind of cute.

I like your tune.

Thanks, Griffin. It needs something over the top of it, as it's really just a melody maker. Did you save the links to any of your songs?
"I love cheese" - Buffy Summers

Griffin NoName

No didn't save. :(

Made a strange discovery. If you add characters on the end of your link address, or even characters in the middle, it still loads your tune. I had to change ".com" bit to get a page not found. (I was trying to preserve the link address in the browser address bar to save coming back here and did not want the tune playing until I was ready........and I can't see a way of switching the sound off (other than for the whole laptop)).

Wow, finally updated flash...  it's incredibly well suited to producing polyrhythms.

The first one I put together:

The stripped down version:

Polyrhythms II:

Polyrhythms III (Baka Groove):

I imagine if you played around with this enough, you could add and subtract tiles to play a live composition.

The host site has a larger online app.  Looks utterly boggling to me, but probably worth a poke at:

Couldn't get the hang of the audio tool. I like your first tune best Aggie.

The third one has this banjo-like sound running through it, but I can't isolate it to a narrow range of rows.  It seems to be an effect of overlaying the middle 8 - 10 rows.  It's the sound that reminds me of Baka music.
