Their buzzword lists seem to be a bit short. I got a relatively high degree of repetition in reruns.

Yes, I noticed that. Also, the sentence structures seem the same spread across the paragraph for each paragraph. Still, nice when you first look.

That too but this is true of actual statements of that kind. I know from personal experience that there is a standardisation in many written 'shorties' that it amounts to pure form texts with gaps to be filled from lists. That of course makes it very easy to program and have an unlimited random output.
In certain areas it is actually a form text with gaps by default and (in the old days pre-word-processing) printed like that.

Indeed, and the program would not have been that much longer.

And it's of course much easier to do that in a low-to-no inflected language like English. In e.g. German or worse, Icelandic, each gap to be filled would also have to contain grammar info.

Many moons ago I wrote a generator for school reports in Spectrum Basic.  Then, slightly fewer moons ago, I wrote one for poetry in 6502 assembler.  That was good; I sold it to Beebug magazine for £150.  The Sideways Poet, it was called.

Both were uninteresting to write as they were all data and very little code.
