The Wall Street Journal is unhappy about raising taxes.  It claims that the new tax levels will raise taxes on the poor.  As in these people here...(pay close attention to the listed income)...

My mother (95) had a stroke this morning about 5 AM local.  The doctor reported this morning that she was unconscious and non-responsive on the left side.  I just talked to the nurse's station and she has improved a bit.  Semi-conscious and can move her left side, though she favors the right.

Crap.  Just had an unpleasant experience.

Missy-dog first belonged to my neighbor's wife.  When Missy was about 3 mo old, my neighbor was going to dump Missy at the pound...she chewed on stuff.  Anyway, I took Missy.  That was almost 6 years ago.

My neighbor's wife still has this attitude that Missy is her dog and just lives at my house.  She also thinks that it has been way too cold for Missy to stay outside.  (Missy's fur is not quite chow thick, but is fairly close.  Thick outer coat with a very thick woolly inner coat.)

Anyway, my neighbor's wife took Missy this morning and wasn't going to give her back because I was abusing her by putting her outside.  Had to call the police.  Unpleasant as I say.

Interesting thing about this fish...it is a carp, and carp evolved a lack of teeth about 50 mya.  Those aren't real teeth, but are actually bony extensions of the jaw serving the same function as teeth.  Cool.  Evolution works out a different solution.

Well, lived through the worst hail storm I've ever been in this morning.  And being in Oklahoma, that is saying something.  I have SEEN the aftermath of a worse storm, but wasn't there when it happened.

Lots of hail the size of golf balls, and some much larger.  My car is all dented up and my new garage door has some dings.  Plus the back window of my car was shattered and the windshield cracked.

Not a good day.
