A brain-dead Irish woman's body is being used as an incubator. Be angry
Ireland's politicians tell us not to be emotional about the abortion debate but these are women's lives and it's right to be upset

This is massive on FB. 500 odd comments. Most of them by pro-lifers defending the rights of the foetus to use the woman's dead body.
***actually this has happened before
Absolutely. Too. far.
It's one thing if it al least was the woman's will, or even her close family's will... and/or it was rather late in the pregnancy.
But this. :caveman:
I'm too tired to work up an rage, but if I wasn't... ::)
Isn't that the right's wet dream though? The woman as a brain-dead vessel, what's next making coma patients pregnant?

I made almost exactly this comment on FB.
Most of the pro-lifers posting comments are woman, which I find very worrying.

Same for female genital mutilation I fear. The reasons are disputed. Women often act as the enforcers of male-made laws discriminating them.
Yes, it is most peculiar. Presumably we can't think by ourselves.
Isn't it similar to the house slave mentality? I'm sure there must be some psychological analysis of that.
I'm not familiar with the house slave mentality. Would that be failure to run away? Usually because their passport is with the slave driver.
Check Samuel L. Jackson's character in Django Unchained for a reference.
So he's a gossip monger?
Sorry don't get it.
