I get very mad with the antivaxxers and anti maskers. I'll try to keep it in check here. Mum was 87 but she was well for her age and had been vaccinated. Someone who wasn't brought it into the group home and ended up infecting the whole place!

Hi all, returning member here, just noticed the email, it had gone into spam.

I'm from way back but never contributed much bar asking for advice on adminning a different forum. Apparently I joined back in 2007! Jeeeze! Long frigging time ago.


A lot has happened, lost my dad two years ago to dementia and my mum last month to Covid-19. I lost my avatar, Robbie the Cairn back 3 years and that was harder. I now how two psychos, an English show Cocker Spaniel and a Mini Schnauzer. They 'mostly' keep me sane lol.

I'm fifty bloody two now, this is so unfair lol.

According to one of my mates in Canada it was -23 C last night!
(can't be arsed looking for the degree sign...although it would have been quicker than typing this explanation as to why I couldn't be bothered...bugger!)

Another friend in New Hampshire says she's expecting 6 inches, tonight. I say she sets her standards way too low.

Once-upon-a-decade-ago (or so) I had a warrant. Not as a scuffer (Police officer) but as a safety cop. I had more rights than the police. I could enter premises without a magistrate giving me the ok.

Did I use my powers? Once. And that was against my own employer (Control of Asbestos Regs) - that went down well I'm self-employed now 

The Police have one hell of a job and I don't envy them - I don't trust them either.

They're not! They are officers of the court and, as such, they are answerable to us.

They make me sick! Removing their ID numbers during the G20 demonstration was the last straw.
You don't police by stealth. You should be known but inactive - when you need to act you've failed.
