WOO HOO !

The site is back from ( almost ) internet oblivion , i've been trying for the past year or so trying to find it without success until a few months ago only to find out that i could not post or respond to anything .
These past four years have been horrid and i have lost almost everything that i held most dear to me .
But i have a new kitty cat !
He will never replace Fritz but is very lovable just the same .

Continued ,( my LG phone is a piece of junk , my 4g network sucks , the browser corrupted , and my service provider is sub par )

..... i in turn said that i did have to return her wallet else i would feel guilt for the remainder of my life .
I am glad to have an angel on my shoulder , it would have been a nightmare for her to replace all those cards .

I found yet another wallet on a very busy street today , it was an extremely large on packed with every card one could think of as well just under two hundred CAD .
The good news is that i once again resisted temptation to keep the cash as reward for mailing the wallet back .
I went through all the compartments looking
for contact info and eventually found a faded pay receipt from a tv production company .
The owner , a young lady happened to be visited her siblings in my condo just one floor above me .
I met them at the elevator and promptly suggested that she ought to buy a lottery ticket . I recieved to hugs and the knowledge that l very likely restored their faith in humanity .
She just stoped by over an hour ago with her other sibling whom i recognized in passing , a pleasant young gentleman .
They brought me a cabernet sauvignon , i said that they didn't have to such a thing in which she replied that i didn't have return the wallet

A Russian Blue ! I have only seen one other , it had a wonderful disposition .
My best bud Fritz met a cruel fate over a year ago , i still weep at times when i think of him .
I posted a rant on FB about it some months agoand dare not repeat it else i will likely rage and go to water again .

I also have new furry friend , Larry was rescued by a previous roomies of mine . They were out for a stroll when they happened across someone carrying a wee ginger tabby which was about three weeks old .
He was smuggled into my condoin a rucksack and promptly dumped on me .
The rescuer asked me to hold onto him untill
he could beg a ride to the shelter but anyone could see through that lie .
I find it difficult to believe that he believed me to be so DUHHHHHHHH .
I told him he could stay for a few hours and will expect him back that evening .
But my tenant came that evening and wanted to keep him if i had no objections .
I said i didn't if he would take care of him and not leave me as his primary caregiver , he said of course not .
I did not want a cat , this building has a no pet policy and i signed line agreeing to such , also another cat is a bitter reminder of the grief of losing Fritz .
Fritz was about 18 years old with a terrible skin ailment but otherwise he was a happy guy content to be with friends and a comfy place to nap.

Larry is perhaps fours months old now , he is getting long and slinky , his mackeral markings are now very pronounced . He lives to play , i can't have a meal in piece or have a beverage without him wanting a sample ( i didn't realize some cats like tea ) .
I am covered in scars and punctures from when i am going about my kitchen chores ( he jumps on me and clings to clothing or flesh ) wanting to have a look at what i'm doing .
After i have a shower he climbs on my back and clings to my scalp as he licks the fur on my head dry . When i pick him up he nuzzles my chin and licks my face while drooling all over me.
He is also my new alarm clock .
His owner works long hours and many weekends , my other tenant only thinks about his next drink , as a result Larry is on me like a leech unless he is sleeping . I have become very fond of the little terror .

Now that i mentioned my room mates , of whom i have known for many years , i have a post that go to the addictions thread ( if and when i can find it ) .
I need your collective insights and opinions about dealing with one of the worst alcohlics i have ever come across and i thought that i had seen them all .

After a year and a half trying to find a GP i finally found an excellent one through a good friend.
Gave me a shot for pneumonia , i barely felt it .
But i have to go for more blood tests on tuesday after a visit with the neuro opthamogist and my regular vision field test .

My prognosis over the spinal problem is not good am i am depressed about my future of pain and further degeneration , i inherited some lousy genes as well as my poor younger brother who is approaching the final stage of the ataxia .
It always breaks my heart to see him but he soldiers on with great spirit . I think his faith keeps him going , something i lost long ago and really dont see any point of striving to attain .... but part three of The Hobbit is just nine months away , so things could be worse !

Music / Re: 5 most played albums?
February 24, 2014, 02:16:59 AM
Hmmm
I will have to say the following greatest hits albums in no particular order :

The Smiths ( mainly for ' There is a light that never goes out )

XTC ' Drums and Snares ' , i think that is the title .

Moody Blues for Tuesday Afternoon and Nights in White Satin .

Roxy Music , Avalon

The Greatest Hits of 1820

The list is likely to change .

This last one actually hurt for a sec , the nurse pushed it in so quickly , Felt faint for about 5 seconds afterwards . I don' t remember that happening for just a small sample . The previous nurses were very good , i barely felt a thing , and yes not looking helps a lot .
They are keeping an eye on my liver function due to the prednisone .

I'm not trying to be intolerant or provoke anyone. But what you are being told by the media about the pound is frankly wrong: it does not lie within the gift of the Westminster Government to stop an independent Scotland from using the pound. The pound is a common currency between Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and England.

From the Act of Union 1707:
QuoteXVI. THAT from and after the Union, the Coin shall be of the same Standard and Value throughout the United Kingdom, as now in England, and a Mint shall be continued in Scotland; under the same Rules as the Mint in England, and the present Officers of the Mint continued, subject to such Regulations and Alterations as Her Majesty, her Heirs or Successors, or the Parliament of Great Britain shall think fit.
The Scots are exercising their universal human right to self-determination, as recognised in the Edinburgh Agreement, by having a referendum on whether to break or redefine certain aspects of that treaty. But that does not mean that we have to give all the pounds back: we want to keep the currency, we want to keep the value equivalency, we even want to keep the monarchy* (a union which dates back a further 102 years, but who's counting?)

The government of the rest of the UK (or rUK as it is known) wants to break or redefine these parts of the treaty. Fine. We'll tell them what we intend to do in that case. We will tell them that we will not take on any of the sovereign debt that the UK pound has incurred, like they are trying to tell us that we can't govern ourselves (we can), we're too small (we're not), or that we'll have to apply to join the European Union (explain how you plan to remove us from the EU first - I have an EU Passport and an EU Driving License, my country is a signatory that is in compliance with all EU treaties, we have members of the European Parliament who represent geographical constituencies in Scotland, and the EU expects to receive repayments for contributions to projects it has made in the geographical area of Scotland).

Scotland can continue to use the pound just like several US 'satellite countries' use the dollar. It's just that the Bank of England (which rUK intends to keep) can't regulate what we do, and they can't force us to repay debts that it has incurred. Without a negotiated monetary union, Scotland will never negotiate a debt repayment plan. Why would we, if rUK are being dicks about it? Hell, we'll even trade oil in the rUK pound and destabilise it, like happens to the dollar.

Scotland has proposed a reasonable and structured withdrawal from the union, keeping some bits, keeping some of the underlying structures. Not an ideal settlement from my perspective, but a realistic one. The UK government is using its statutory and legislative role (rather than its political role) to interfere in the process - David Cameron says that the decision is for the people of Scotland, and then brings the rest of the UK into it. I should point out that following DC and GO's outbursts this week, support for Yes has gone up.

*Personally, I'd privatise the monarchy and sell them to the highest bidder, probably Disney.

Chapter Seventy-5c

Unaccustomed as he was to public speaking, Emilio rubbed his hands together before announcing the urgent issue of his sanity. Preservation of stem ginger hadn't helped him stabilize the uneasy truce between his mind altering demons from the 1970's and his devotion to Elvis the Pelvis. Unfortunately the aggressive lobby of the bejeweled crustaceans meant that Elvis' capes had to be pawned in order to pay the lawyers fees before any even tempered verdict about the lurid escapades of the Sertürner brothers was reached. Twenty years of gout had not reduced the swelling in Emilio's head cook's left over goulash coloured arm chair, which bulged ominously. No-one could speak Farsi without a thick accent so incomprehensible that even chicken soup seemed quite a coherent ideology. Trouble was brewing at t'mill on t'floss and Emilio sent some nasty emails to his ex-stepmother-in-law from Bruges who headed the local Sicilian orange grower union. She could never forgive Emilio's silent flatulence
