What a butt-head he turned out to be! I don't know what we were expecting, though. Plumbers make very good money, so he probably could be threatened by being in an upper tax bracket. They should have gone with Joe the Teacher or Joe the Janitor.

It's unbelievable how out of touch people can be. Most of us in the U.S. do not make even $100 grand a year. We don't even make half that, and we know people much worse off than ourselves scraping by and paying their taxes like good law-abiding citizens.

It's really quite simple: if you are fortunate enough to have a decent income you really should not be threatened about paying your taxes like the rest of us poor schmoes. You can afford it more easily than we can but you don't hear us whitching and bining about it nearly as much as you hear the rich folks do.

I just want to grab these rich babies by the shoulders and say- Look, fellah- the U.S. created this system so that we could all have a chance at a decent life. It's a beautiful thing, but if you don't like it, feel free to sail off on your freakin' yacht and go elsewhere to cry into your champagne.

Sorry, I had to say that. How is it possible that someone making $40K a year (which is his actual salary) cries foul for those making more than six times more money? How exactly is that the b@$tards of the GOP have been able to convince so many people that screwing themselves is actually good for them? How exactly is that a concept as moronic as 'trickle down economics' is being sold successfully?

I'm sorry again, all the BS all around and the character assassination pamphlets in the mail*, courtesy of the Repugnant party are getting into my nerves.

* we figured out why is that we are receiving their crap: when my wife registered originally she did so as an independent.  These are the moments I wish there is a hell for them to go to.

Here's what I think: I think that when Joe The Plumber realized how much money he could glean from his sudden fame that he added it up and found that he could possibly make over $200K on the deal and thus be dangerously close to the level that Obama would tax! Eeeeek! So he ran to the McCain side to cover his low-slung tool belt!

I doubt he'll reach the $250K, besides, plans or not unless they get the magic 60 seats in congress (excluding Joe the traitor Lieberman) the repugs will do anything in their power to stop major changes.
