anthrobabe

so in essence they are actually just smaller versions of the people who actually live in the Houston area(crazy, build bridges with their dead, are fuzzy, etc)

sorry, naughty AB---- will attempt contrite face now

but they do eat fire ants--- but not exclusively, wonder if we could get them on an exclusive fire ant diet.  wonder if they'd like Kudzu?

Sibling Chatty

They eat fire ants, they are a beneficial species.

BUT, when ya mess wit' da Attwater Prarie Chickens, you're messin' with a Big Deal.

I remember them from when we still lived there. I still like 'em more than fire ants. (Chatty, when bitten by a fire ant, gets quarter sized blisters and runs temps up to 103.)

This sig area under construction.

anthrobabe

gotta get 'em off the Attwater chickens then we'll put 'em on fire ant patrol full time

Ain't evolution fun?

Obviously, these things have some other critter that keeps'em under control wherever they came from.

But, they came along, sans that control, and they run wild.

Kinda reminds me of rabbits and a certain Southern Continent....
