Pretty fishie!

I'm a big fan of Belgian chocolate. Dan brought me some from Bruges, from one of over 30 chocolateries there. Chocolateries and breweries seem to be the main commerce in Belgium. We may need to keep that in mind when locating the Monastery.

Oooh! Ooooh! That lead me to this: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2003/11/031106051159.htm

Hot chocolate may be a healthier drink than tea and red wine!

Hot... dark... chocolate.....  :cup:

I didn't know exactly where to put this, but since it involves an edible FSM this seemed like a good spot.

The replies to that are a good read. I'm not sure whether I approve of the cookie recipe though.

PZ Myers affinity with squids intrigues me. Have any of our squidlings been in touch with him?  link

I agree- the cookie recipe is traumatic and just well too silly- but it is real- we made them once at vacation Bible school- we did an overnight 'lock in'.
the reply (reply #28) it very funny however!
(there are similar things to go with candy canes, dogwood trees, etc)

My favorites are #18, 20 and 21

I am just resurrecting this thread to report how much I loves crystallized ginger. It could only be more wonderful if it was in a toadfish shape.

Bluenose

I just love crystallised ginger.  Can't decide whether I like it best plain, or the kind covered in dark chocolate.  Mainly depends on which one I have at hand at the moment...  Yummie!

What I have at hand (and in mouth) at the moment is Trader Joe's Uncrystallized Candied Ginger. It's nice, because it doesn't have the sugary crust, and is more like dried fruit, but with that ginger fire!

Some pieces are smooth, but some are fibrous. It varies.

Dammit, Jim, now you've got me wondering what it's like.  Never having had a taste of crystallized ginger myself, choco or otherwise, now I'm gonna have to go to the mall, where there are candy-specialty stores...

... meh.  I hates the mallses, I does.  ::)   too many peoples-ses there is.
