There *might* be a special prize of immortality, courtesy of Rassilon, for the first correct answer.

Justifications expected, little credit is given for incomplete answers.
If you can remember all of them you're probably a Time Lord too.

Why again is Peter Cushing left out?
Knurrhähne sind eßbar aber empfehlen würde ich das nicht unbedingt.
The aspitriglos is edible though I do not actually recommend it.

That's the spirit. We can have lots of discussions about which are canonical and not.

I've added him, but there are loads more possibilities if you include spin-off films, books, magazines and audio tapes.

Griffin-- I am humbled at your knowledge of Dr Who

I'm currently working through Tom Bakker via NetFlix-- he is the Dr.Who moat familiar to me so I voted for him.

I know- I can hear the hisssessss--- many do not like him at all, like I said I am most familiar with him so when I think Dr.Who, his is the face that pops in first.

Each of them-- and I admit- I haven't seen all yet( possibly all at least once or twice)--- anyway each of then naturally brings something unique to their interpretation of the Doctor, so as time goes on I am still looking forward to finding a new favorite episode and new favorite "doctor".

Now here is one--- who is your favorite Dr.Who sidekick?
Mine is and will always be K-9(John Leeson and one other fellow I can't remember)
I've liked some of the human/alien(as in not from earth ie: Romana etc) sidekicks-- but K-9 is my favorite.

Use of wikipedia?  ;)

Troughton was my favourite, I liked the way he used to wind up the brigadier; followed by Davison, Pertwee, Tennant, Baker,.

K9 is one of my favourite side-kicks too. Jo Grant was another favourite from when the assistants were still in the pre-feminist dizzy rather than feisty blonde stage. She was fun (as evidenced by that famous picture with a dalek).  Teagan and Rose/Martha were/are good too, IMHO.

Bonus question, which assistant actually died (screen, not real life).

That too ;) ;) ;)

I used to be a great fan of K9 until our three year old adopted him as an imaginary friend - we spent a year having him accompany us everywhere and forever having to wait for him to catch up with us - panics when lift doors closed before he'd followed us out etc. 27 years later and I can still feel the intense irritation K9 could produce when loaded down with heavy shopping and people everywhere and standing desperately talking to blank air telling it to get a move on.

My youngest did- a tiny bear-- she eventually traded it in-- on the current boyfriend- I'm just kidding- he's a good kid and I'm happy with him so far.

I think the very first Dr.Who I ever saw was the Genesis of the Daleks ones

No! That was me. Would take me months getting it smelling just right, then she'd wash it. Never did learn she'd always win. Explains a lot about my adult? behaviour.

Sibling Lambicus the Toluous

My personal favourite is Tom Baker, but that may be because he was the first Doctor I watched as a kid.  I think I still watch the show with the mindset that he's the "real" Doctor and the rest are "replacements".

Sibling Chatty

::hangs head::

Never watched Dr. Who. Never had control of TV when it was shown, never HAD a TV when not living with someone else.

Forgive my ignorance, please.

Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.
