Don't get me started of the wonders of East Asian toilets....  ;)

Ah! would that be rural and still probably pretty common "Asian pit" toilets!  or in Cambodia on the river a hole in the floor, with the river current to 'flush' , then bath in and draw water from etc.
I am so spoiled and truly live in luxury compared with many.
I bitch and moan and don't often stop to realize the fact that I can go to a faucet and drink the water out of it and be fairly assured that it will not kill me.

I'm glad you found a replacement part Griffin

  I meant the ones with the heated seats that also do a wash and dry cycle for you.  ;)

As for "Asian pit" toilets, have done that too, at a temple in Japan, but we still have lots of good ol' Canuckistai pit shi toilets here when camping, hiking, etc...

if you're lucky, otherwise it's dig a hole in the snow ::)

But you really don't want me to start on the Vietnamese 'river toilets' (secondhand stories, very naughty).   ;)

I've heard of those heated wash/rinse/dry/ ones--- very interesting.
