These look like FUN to play with, and good replacements / additions for battery systems. They have got me thinking about hybrid bicycle applications (e.g. charge on the flats, assist on the hills) and other fun projects.

Ever read the Riverworld series of books? 

Remember the "bacator" in that?  It was a battery that could recharge instantly like a capacitor....

.... these sound suspiciously like that.

I wonder how long the charge will hold?
