OK, when I click my address bar, WHY the hell do I get crap that I have not looked at (or for) in MONTHS???

It's just the opposite policy to hospital records keeping - are you never going to be satisfied?

Auntie, this will make it look like the old one.

If you want it to stop suggesting a particular item, just use the arrow keys to go down to it when it pops up and hit delete (shift-delete on mac) to remove it from the suggestions.

If you want it to quit with the suggesting, use these instructions I shamelessly ripped from elsewhere:

# Enter about:config into the address bar and hit Enter.
# Press the "I''ll be careful. I promise!" button. (Because you will be.)
# Enter browser.urlbar.maxRichResults in the Filter field to reach this preference.
# Set it to your desired number of suggestions
