Q would be more inquisitive and personable than they really want for pages. A Congressperson years age said they wanted pliant young men that would "be at ease with some unusual tasks." Back then it meant delivering messages to the Congressman's girlfriend. I don't wanna think about what it means now...

And as a complete non-sequitir, I've realized that I completely associate the word "pampering" with "diapering".  It takes a conscious mental effort on my part to attach any other meaning to the word.

It's a bit sad that advertising has become so ingrained in me, but it has made otherwise dull conversations rather funny (though only for me).
