Do I find it distasteful, yes. Do I think that it is in line with the "toadfish spirit", no.
Do I have a problem with violent animated symbols like this one  , no.

TBH Darlica, I did not notice the sign on the front of the smilie person, and have never heard of the Zodiac Killer before either.

I suppose too many nights watching too many crime documentaries on cable TV and a huge interest in symbols and how they are used is a rather rare combination.
However in my former line of work I was suppose to know this sort of things in order to avoid making a fool of my self...
