See if you can change your user name.  Change it in SMF first, then in Joomla.

Great suggestions.  We should break that discussion out into another board here.  Then use the results of that discussion for the contents of the home page.

You'll like SMF better than phpBB, there's a spell checker.  I have to turn it on apparently.

How do we adjust our profiles? How we do we get our avatars in here? How do we pass notes (PMs)? 

I like the Dictionary idea. Some clever Sibling suggested a Lexicon in the monastery. I guess it's time to start collecting some of our invented words.

In the SMF Forum, click the profile button.  The on the left hand side menu on the SMF forum, click on 'Forum Profile Information'.  From there you should be okay.

For PMs, hit the 'PM: 0(0)' link at the top of the SMF page.  From there it's a little like phpBB.

I kinda like the black and white images. Looks like an old travel brochure. I suppose the text would stand out more if it was tinted. Nice work, Duje!

Thanks Duje!  I think that is the most artistic thing I have ever done.  I am really not very good at it at all.

Are you talking about the "Toadfish Monastery" text in the header image?  Should I make it brighter, say macthing the symbol of yours?

Yeah! Can you get fill the letters with a little gold, to suggest monastic illumination, perhaps?
