Apparently the new ID movie "Expelled" rattles on and on about the "connection" between Darwin and Hitler.  Ben Stein, the movie's voice, even thinks the movie doesn't say enough about it.

Well, here are some interesting pictorial comments about Ben Stein...

Of cause Hitler might have read Darwin, the whole intellectual and wannabe intellectual world did!
:o
If Hitler didn't read much, he lacked formal education, what is known is that he read Spengler and probably Ernst Haeckel, H was more interested in metaphysical matters than zoology. BTW he also liked to quote Göthe.

Saying that Darwin's theories is the foundationfor Mine Kampf is history revisionism in the same calibre as those dark blue and brown striped ultra rightwingers in Europe saying that the concentration camps didn't exited.

And, you can't possible make Darwin answer for eventual interpretations a megalomaniac nut job did at least 50 years after his death.

Oh, wait I guess you can, that why Marx get the blame for what the atrocities Khemere Rouge committed in Cambodia and what the Chinese government does and have done to the Chinese people...

True, and there's really not a way to reverse that trend, except for teaching kids more science (which some parents undo at home).

Well, the latest scuttlebutt is that ALL the private screenings (which were all free of charge, but by e-mail invite-- you signed up) have been mysteriously canceled due to "technical difficulties".  None are scheduled anymore.

This was a supposed "pre-release" movie/showing.

Now, it appears that some of the sponsors of the film are getting cold feet-- the negative publicity in the interweb is very high, with little positive offset.  In fact about the only positive is the strict creationist crowd. Even the few mainstream media outlets that have seen it pretty much consider it drivel at best, inflammatory propaganda at worst.   The science crowd has even more colorful descriptions, obviously.

The creos on Topix have pretty much shut up about it, for everytime they open their collective mouths, the science crowd points out how the movie was made using fraud, and plagarization.

PZ Myers has a very interesting essay about it, as of last night.  The simple falsehood of Expelled  He addresses the hitleresque issues the movie raises and shows them to be false.

Sometimes, the real journey can only be taken by making a mistake.

my webpage-- alas, Cox deleted it--dead link... oh well ::)

Heh, and it doesn't get better with time, either.  Look at Jesus...  ;)

Man, talk about bad press. Yeshua Bar-Yusef's own book gets it all screwed up.

If I was Him, I'd strike 'em all dead. And the dead ones, I'd bring back to TELL 'em I was strikin' em all dead. An' DAT is why I ain' ever gonna be mistook fer Jesus. Too mean.

This sig area under construction.

A new cartoon commentary on "Expelled"...

If you read PZ Meyers blog you no doubt read about the fact that he was denied access to a screening of expelled-- but a friend with him was completely overlooked and was able to see the film--- that friend
Richard Dawkins-- boy talk about poop-brains! Dawkins and Meyers wife and daughter? were able to see the film.

Now see this it is a sarcastic response to the silliness by R. Dawkins--  ala "ok what's next"?
SEXPELLED!!!!!!       it is completely PG or even G but be careful of what you google! trust me I think I'll be getting a letter from network services later today.
