The comments section was filled with such loony-tunes remarks that it's incredible. Wealthy RWers, upper middle class folks and a LOt of overt racists are back in NO, but they're doing their best to keep others out.

Google's just another chunk of the American show. All show, no substance.

that's really too bad.  Hopefully, with all the flak they are getting, they will replace with newer, more accurate maps as they become available.

Of course, it IS a free service-- I suppose TANSTAAFL would apply here.

There ARE pay map services which offer sat maps, very detailed ones, for a fee.
