So when we drive it to Louisville to visits Dan's sister, do I get to see your motorcycle??

(I don't ride them anymore. I have become accustomed to having mosh of my skin attached to my body...)

Yes please! Y'all can certainly stop for a break on the journey. You'd be welcome to stop the night, if it is convenient for you...

I would love to see you both.   :balloons: :grouphug: :woot:

Come and meet us, including the dogs (the cats probably won't admit you exist  ::) )

Please. please, please.

Dan's probably amenable to a stop.

He's a closet Anglophile, ya know...

Let me get this mess cleaned up with da tumors and stuff, and see how soon I'm 'travel ready'.

HEE!! Party at Mero's!!

I just mentioned to SWMBO  (Linda) that I'd invited you.
She looked horrified.
Then I finished the sentence about how it would be in a while and you'd let us know the dates.
She was no longer horrified.

Seems she thought I was going to say "And they'l be here in about 20 minutes. " :P

She said "so I don't have to go change my shirt right now!"   :D

"Cool", she said.

Oh how I wish I could join you, but living on the other side of the big pond that's not likely to happen. :(

Okay, I'm happy, now.

This morning, while talking on the phone, I was sitting at my computer desk (it's quite cluttered), and I looked down, and spotted....

....yes, I believe it is...

...something I thought was gone forever...

...my little MP3 player lying amidst the clutter on the floor.

It seems my trusty cat had knocked it off my desk, and it bounced and slid under some computer parts I was--ahem--storing yeah, that's right! Storing!  down there, under my desk/table.

I picked it up, brushed off the dust, and turned it on-- it WORKS!  It's battery even showed 84%-- excellent, as I haven't charged it in 4 or 5 months...

I connected it to my PC, and there everything was, just like I left it last.

I don't care what people say, it's the LITTLE things that can make your day, sometimes.

:D :D :D
Sometimes, the real journey can only be taken by making a mistake.

my webpage-- alas, Cox deleted it--dead link... oh well ::)

Hell, I'll brag redundantly, because I'm elated. Copied from significant things thread. I still think standardized testing is ineffective, inaccurate, and stupid, but whatever.

Got my AP scores! Finally! YAY!

Bragging time:

Euro - 5
Calc BC - 5

Ah right. Wonder why they picked the plague rather than classical Greece and Rome. Perhaps they didn't want to courrupt American youth with tales of evil polytheists. Or they figured you'd watch it on HBO anyway.
