I started with this old bronze head (actually another photograph of it, not this) over at the old place and i don't see, why I should change.
I may replace it from time to time with a different perspective of the same.
For those who don't know yet or have forgotten it:
It is the (damaged) head of an Akkadian king, probably Naram-Sin.
It is often mistaken for that of Sargon I (and occasionally even for the Sumerian king Gilgamesh).

I have ashamedly to admit that when the battery in my digital watch expired and I had to wear a "normal" one for a few days that lacked numbers. I noticed some difficulties to get the time on first sight. I actually had to think for a moment where which number is located and how the hands stood in relation to them.

Where better to start a new posting career than in the Last Post area/thread.
It will take some time to get used to the handling of a new set of forum controls.
And I do not have that much time at the moment, I fear.
But there should always be enough time for the Last Post.
