Check out our new merchandise shop! There's lots of fun Toadfish Monastery stuff you can buy if you like, and the proceeds will help us run this site.

Sibling MentalBlock has just set this up for us, and has ordered some of the items to test how they come through. If you'd like to make a test purchase, please let us know if you found that the items arrived in a timely fashion and if you were satisfied.

You may access it from the top bar on this page (just under the big photo) or by going here: http://www.cafepress.com/toadfishmon

Edit: I notice that the tee also comes in a nice, monkish saffron color- just what I was looking for!

Aggie

Psst...  Opas.   Those of us who are posting unwrapped can't see the top bar... can someone put this in the News box next to the donations announcement?  ;)
WWDDD?

anthrobabe

Don't know of any similar internet outlets in the UK - though I have a vague memory of one possibly in Italy. Time to do some research?

We certainly could use both an European and Australian connection.

Edit:
I contacted CafePress about stores on other continents.
I found these UK site: http://www.spreadshirt.net/shop.php?sid=193928
http://t-shirtme.buy-tees.com/
This one does more than just shirts: http://www.zazzle.com/

Here's a good Australian company: http://www.customyourshirt.com/

Zazzle looks way better than CafePress.

I can't seem to upload images to t-shirtme.buy-tees.com.

I don't seem to be able to create an account at SpreadShirt.net.  There is no option for the US.

Opsa

Should we set up a Zazzle account? Looks like it's free.

Griffin NoName

I prefe the look feel of cafepress hugely over zazzle - but an account as well at zazzle, why not?

Sibling Chatty

Have seen merchandise from both. (Former Member, The Invisible Friends Club--both stores now closed.) Cafepress does a wider range of merchandise, and a little better look/feel to it. Zazzle may have improved, but had some issues with 'blurry' or indistinct merch at one point.

LOVE the caps at Cafepress. I may make Dan and Gary get them to wear while in Europe. Silly boys, they'll NEED hats against cold and sun (they don't--either on--have a full head of hair on top) and both hate to wear anything but a Resistol or Stetson--NOT good 'traveling in Europe' headgear!!

Zazzle was very good for British members of IFC, less so for Americans, but that was a few years back.
This sig area under construction.

Opsa

Thanks for the input on Zazzle. Maybe we can contact them and ask about the quality, or do  a test run, as MB is doing with CafePress.

Does either company make high-quality mousepads? This one scavenged from some old biomedical conference years ago is getting a bit tarnished, and a toadfish mousepad would be lovely.

Check out about halfway down page two here: http://www.cafepress.com/toadfishmon/3395905

:)

The Tile Box looks really cool, too! http://www.cafepress.com/toadfishmon.155625407

Alpaca

Ooh, that does look nice. (Silly me, I didn't click on the "more stuff" link when I first visited.) I just might have to convince a parent to give me a credit card for a bit.

I got my stuff today!  I got a large mug, the khaki hat and a military green t-shirt.  It all came out awesome!  The mug was especially nice.  That logo just looks beautiful on everything.  Everything was fine quality too.  I wasn't expecting them to be that nice.

Opsa

That's great to hear! Thanks!

I've always gotten good quality stuff from there.

Does the Monastery still make the same amount, even if the merch is on sale?

Griffin NoName

I just bought a load of Christmas presents - no discount at the checkout.

Oh my gosh!  I am so sorry.  I mis-read this email.  It's so stupid though.  I think what they are saying is I, meaning me, get a 20% discount and not my customers???  That's total crap.

Quote* No coupon required. Discount is automatically applied when you purchase products from your shop(s). Excludes CD, button, magnet or mini-button orders (singles or multi-packs), and bulk orders. Cannot be combined with other offers. This sale ends on September 19, 2007 at 11:59 pm (PST). Orders placed during the sale period that require delivery on or before October 8, 2007 require a shipping upgrade to Next Day or 2-Day Shipping.

Okay, the sale is over.  Sorry!

Griffin I will send you the discount in cash out of my pocket.  Sorry!  :-[

Griffin NoName

I'd rather you donate it to the Monastery !!!!

erm.... actually it doesn't exist - so just throw it away !

I'll donate $20 to the Monastery in your name then.  Thanks and sorry!  At least it's good for a laugh.

Thanks MB.

If I'd known this would hapen I'd have bought hundreds more items ;) ;) ;)  ::)

There's a lot of nice things in the shop, unfortunately I'm not in a good place economically right now so shopping has to wait. :(

Finally unpacked the box which arrived swiftly and has sat waiting for Christmas present wrapping time. (High levels of prioritising on My Hill).

The merchandise is really excellent.

My only regret is I ordered before the choice of Logo !!

I may have to place another order. If I recover from Christmas.

Wish we had the energy for marketing.... ** she says, being the first to claim lack of energy as the excuse for everything. **

 :update:

ordered a toadfish clock for the hall
it arrived very swiftly and was very well wrapped and packaged
nice service at cafepress!
it really looks great --the logo fits it well-- it even came with a battery

there are no numbers or other types of markings on it..just two hands and our logo....
so I can truthfully answer  "how the hell should I know" when they say--- what time is it?

somehow it all fits and makes sense

I'm waiting for summer  to wear my (rather sickly) pink Toadfish T shirt.

Glad the clock is nice. Hmmm, tempting.

Recommend the canvas bag too.

I'm looking at getting a set of the big mugs .

Griffin NoName

They are BIG.

Even the small ones are biggish. Narrow but tall and thin enough not to accomodate my nose. I can't work out how far back to tip my head.

copyright infringement...

Seriously, let them know that logo is copy write protected elsewhere, it's yours Opsa, right?
You made it and let us use it.

No matter if we like the product or not the design is yours and if anyone makes money out of it, it should be you (then you do whatever you like with them).
