Fifth Anniversary of the Toadfish

The Honorable Order of the Toadfish is celebrating its fifth year on January 6th.

Our Toadfish Monastery is a place of friendship, of joy in good times and comfort in bad times. We discuss things here in a compassionate way, we joke with each other, tease each other, worry about each other and help each other. Even though some of us are far away from each other on the face of the earth, we have become very close online and influence each other in real life.

I am very glad to have you in my life. Thank you for being my sibling! You mean more to me than you may ever know.

Am reminded of an old MPFC sketch:

The name of the sketch?  It was a dramatic piece, called of course, A Minute Past.

Here's the actual script

John Finlissom (Eric Idle): Hesitantly, reluctantly, Helen slipped out of a slim, tight-waisted waspy and stood naked in the moonlight before me. Somewhere a clock chimed three. An owl hooted in the nearby copse. No wind stirred the casement window. She stood in the pale, translucent light on the Persian carpet. A minute passed. Then another. Then, another minute. Then... another minute passed. Then another minute passed. And another. A further minute passed quickly, followed by another minute, when suddenly, a different minute passed, followed by another different minute. And another. And yet another further different minute. A minute passed. I glanced at my watch. It was a minute past. This was it. A minute passed. After a moment, another minute passed. I waited a minute while a minute passed quickly past. And then, a minute which seemed to last an hour but was only a minute... passed.

i am here because DaveL invited me after the split from The Other Place.  I cannot express my gratitude enough to the Siblings for the way I was welcomed and the way this place has remained somewhere where I can just be me and where we can discuss anything withhout flame wars or hurtful criticism.  It is a place we can come to for real advice from others who really care or maybe just for some reassurance when we need it.

I love you guys, I want you to know that, even though I'm not always around as much as I'd like - when I'm not hrer, I'm thinking about you!
