Um. Is it Thanksgiving?  I always thought that had the number 3 in it's date. In fact, I don't even know what the Thanks are for. Although I am educated enough to know turkeys are involved.

They celebrate the fact the Puritans survived a year in the States, we celebrate that the Puritans left here, and the turkeys celebrate that their problems are all over.

Happy turkey day (whichever it is).

And the indians celebrate... well, they really have nothing to celebrate in thanksgiving.

As a sign of sympathy for the indians I will not eat turkey today.

Well, I had Happy Garlic Teriyaki Pork Loin and Rice Day. There was also a baked bird in the area, but I did not partake.

I just know that any day that ends with pie is a good day!

many of people around here eat the venison they went out and shot on Thanksgiving morning or afternoon or duck- duck hunting on Thanksgiving is big-- really killing anything on Thanksgiving is big....

I don't like the taste of turkey. Gimme ducks! (really, I love the taste of duck. The university canteen had it on the menu about once a month and I tried never to miss it).

Swato it is duck hunting season around here- think I mentioned that- too bad you are not a bit closer I could fill your plate very well- my coworkers are prolific hunters and are always bringing cleaned and  ready to cook ducks and putting them in the freezer for anyone to take home.

Any Thai restaurants close? (I really love Thai duck, BTW, I always have had the thought of them hunting the common pond ducks around here, something about the non-existent availability of duck in the supermarket ).
