It's the day of winter solstice in the northern hemisphere and summer solstice in the southern hemisphere.

Merry merry all around!

The earth has wobbled to it's limit and now starts a slow tilt back the other way. The seasons continue to cycle. Life goes on. Be soothed.

Hoi-hoi!

Solstice again! This time we're doing the "longest day" thing here in the Northern Hemi and "longest night" down in the Southern Hemi.

If you are so inclined, this is a good day to attempt to maintain positive, fair, healing thoughts. Every day is, really, but today is also good practice.

Love what's good in the world, hug your loved ones, give your pets a little extra attention, pat a tree, smile at the sun and moon, wink back at a star, hold hands with some dirt or otherwise show appreciation for what deserves it most. Your call.

Happy Summer Solstice, Sibs!

Anyone do anything to mark the season?  I got up for a hike at dawn* and am about to head out for a dusk/night mountain bike ride, with lights.


_{*sunrise, around 6:30 when the sun starts breaking the mountains.  The birds get up with the first hint of light around 3:50 am; I got up for a 4:30 am ramble a few weeks back but didn't care to get up that early this morning.}
