If you can't tolerate blues music, don't listen.

Eight total videos...so far, at least # 4, 5 and 6 feature the bass player, my Baby Brother, Larry.

(#6 seems to be a medley of Willow Tree and Everybody Must Get Stoned.)

He's also featured on #8.

The comments about not liking cameras? Yeah, it's genetic.

Oh, and here's him playing with Texas Johnny Brown on a different style of blues. Yep, he's the bass player.

Larry has played with Earl for a great deal of the last 15 years, as well as Texas Johnny Brown for about 5.

He's a phenomenal bass player, and has done European tours and Japan tours with a lot of the old-time blues guys. There's usually some resistance to this white guy at first, but the fact is, he's THAT good.

He also tours with Diunna Greenleaf, who has won numerous Handy Awards for blues performance and composition.

A few years ago, Larry and Earl catalogued Earl's compositions, then tried to find albums they were on. Seems people had been putting his stuff on disc and not paying royalties... $52,000 later, (and 10 copies of each disc) Earl's 'retirement' looked a LOT more secure. Some of his stuff that was being sold had been written and recorded when he was in his 20's.

Back when Ray Charles was still recording in Houston, and was first getting strung out on drugs, Earl used to step in and do keyboards for his recording sessions, and they'd add Ray's voice later on.

The only thing I miss about Houston is getting to go hear the live music...
