Porn makes youngsters conservative says new study

A new study by German media institutes has found out that German youngsters watch more porn than the previous generation (due to easier availabilty by way of the web). No surprise there. But the survey also found that porn consumption decreases sexual activity in the real world and shifts the average date of the first real world sex towards a higher age. Porn also seems to transport a more conservative worldview influencing the youngsters at an impressionable age.

Hm, shouldn't conservatives then promote porn consumption and demand it to be included in the abstinence-only programs?

It would be interesting to know at what age they started watching porn and what is the average volume of consumption, also how does it apply to girls.

Girls watch less and they look more for aesthetic values. They also have a lower threshold for disgust. Boys seem to be more interested in techniques. From what I read in other sources this becomes a real problem since (in the US at least) many boys now believe for example that faceshots are how it is supposed to be.
The less-and-later-real-sex effect stems at least partially from porn-induced feelings of inferiority. Boys think that girls demand the advanced athletics from them and girls feel that they don't match up to the perfection of the porn star bodies. So both sexes increasingly fear to disappoint the other with the (in their mind likely) result of being rejected.
Girls also resent their boyfriend watching porn with many treating it as equal to cheating.

The studied age group was 13-19.
A survey by Bravo magazine went down to 11 years with 69% of boys and 57% of girls stating that they had at least once consumed web-based porn. The 50% margin for first sexual encounter on the other hand is above age 15 again (statistics during the 80ies put it somwhere between 14 and 15).

Being conservative (with a lower case c) isn't a bad thing, like saving, value conscious purchases, planning, etc, etc.

There is the more complicated social conservatism, the attachment to the old ways.

And then we have the American Conservatives (with capital C), and their corporatist ways.

More so, their media operation has made sure that anything to the slightest left of the position is a liberal heresy, so turning out to be "liberal" is exceedingly easy nowadays.

As for tasteful nudes, many painters consider non-ideal models, esp. olde ones to be the true challenge. Hairless smooth-skinned beauty is easy.
Many males today have caught the Ruskin virus it seems. They find female pubic hair disgusting and demand its removal before consenting to intercourse. That's also something that can be traced back directly to porn. Some see a connection to pedophilia there, since pubic hair is the sign of the (biologically) adult, so a female without it can be imagined as pre-puberty. I withhold judgement on the scientificality of that idea (until I gain practical experience  )

In my young days we never got a look at any porn and I turned out to be a right-wing firebrand.  Still am.  But we were liberal in one sense - we'd go for any decent-looking female, regardless of class, race or religion.  Inclusive, you see.
