As usual 'liberation' is a matter of perspective. Both in south Ossetia and in Abjazia the majority of the population has Russian passports and when the Georgian tanks came a fair amount of people crossed the border and are currently as refugees in Russia. The claims of genocide by the georgians seems extreme at this point though, and to complement now there are counter claims of ethnic cleansing by the ossetian militia.

Iraq and Afghanistan are no nations, just states, and failed ones to boot (in case of doubt the same holds for the US).
